As reviewed in last week's roundtable, the Pistons have been unlucky this past decade with their draft choices. Andre Drummond stands out as the only Pistons stud selected by the red and blue in the past ten years. It's still too early to make the call on recent first-round picks Sekou Doumbouya and Luke Kennard, but signs are pointing to the drafting prowess of senior advisor Ed Stefanski with the development of 2018 second-round draft pick, Bruce Brown.
History repeats itself, but this video is almost encouraging. Detroit is bound to strike gold on a draft pick after nearly a decade of selecting average NBA players. With Blake Griffin, Dwane Casey, and Ed Stefanski, we can only hope that the Pistons don't see themselves back in the lottery anytime soon.
