Gupta was hired away by Detroit from the Philadelphia 76ers as the team opted to start fresh with the front office. He was brought in to be the right-hand man to de-facto general manager Ed Stefanski, who is officially the team's senior adviser. Prior to being hired by Detroit, Gupta worked as an executive under Sam Hinkie during the Process-era with the Philadelphia 76ers. Gupta will now be working with Timberwolves President Gersson Rosas, who was also recently hired by Minnesota. The two formerly worked together with the Houston, as well, where Gupta began his career working with the team's analytics department in 2006. Featured Image - (Detroit Pistons)
