Report: Tayshaun Prince in Running to Join Pistons Front Office

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN relayed an interesting detail in his reporting of the Detroit Pistons hiring Memphis Grizzlies' executive Ed Stefanski this morning. In his report on ESPN.com, Woj says that Stefanski will be a candidate to join the front office in a supporting role.

Popular ex-Pistons player Tayshaun Prince -- who is completing his first year in the Memphis front office -- will be a strong candidate to join Stefanski in Detroit too, league sources said.

Prince played 12 seasons of his career in Detroit, where he captured an NBA Championship in the 2003-2004 season. He last played in Detroit during the 2014-2015 season, in which he was acquired from the Boston Celtics.

Prince, 38, worked with the Grizzlies alongside Stefanski, this season, in his first year on the job.

He averaged 12.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game in his 12 seasons with Detroit. Now, past his playing days, Prince would provide a unique viewpoint to Detroit's front office.

The Pistons also have interest in Shane Battier and Brent Barry in front office roles.
