The USA Select Team is the group of players that practice with the USA Mens Basketball Team. They are the youngest and brightest American NBA players in the game. They are players that could be on the national team in the future.
Stanley Johnson was a rookie for the Pistons this season. He averaged 8.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this season for Detroit off the bench. He shot 30.7% from the three-point line and 78.4% from the free throw line. Johnson was the 8th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope played his third season for the Pistons, He made a huge step in his game this season, and transformed into one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. He averaged 14.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game.
Johnson and Caldwell-Pope are just two of the young talented players the Pistons have. Drummond has played with Team USA before, and will try out for the team in the summer, if he decides to.
The Pistons could have multiple Team USA members in the future, which is another good thing for a bright young team.
