Report: Reggie Bullock to Undergo Surgery on Meniscus, Will Miss 2-4 Months
The Pistons just cannot stay healthy, especially in Reggie Bullock's case. Bullock started the year inactive, missing the first six games of the season. He was dealing with a multitude of injuries, including a hip pointer.
Bullock returned to action recently for the Pistons and was playing well. He even took over the backup wing spot over Stanley Johnson, who has struggled to find his footing early in the second season of his career. He played 20 minutes against the while adding five points and three rebounds in the game. In Detroit's next game, Bullock played 10 minutes, scoring six points and grabbing two boards. Then against the Miami Heat, Reggie Bullock left the game after playing just three minutes. Then came news that Bullock tore his meniscus. At first, there was belief that it may have just been a partial tear and he could be out a few weeks.

Stan Van Gundy and the Pistons wanted to agree to a contract extension with Bullock before the October 31st deadline passed but were unable to reach an agreement. Bullock we be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
If Bullock returns in two months, he could play in February. If he misses four months that would bring him back right near the end of the regular season in April. The timetable is fluid, as he could return in three months. When he returns will be determined by how quickly Bullock rehabs and returns to full health.
Detroit's backup wing role will now be filled by Stanley Johnson, Darrun Hilliard, and Michael Gbinje.
