The 2018 NBA Free Agency period begins at 12:00a.m. tonight. Rumors and reports have already begun to run rampant around the NBA. One report has reached a Detroit Piston free agent, who as Ian Begley of ESPN reports, Detroit is hoping to re-sign.

James Ennis was acquired by Detroit at the trade deadline last season and appeared in 27 games with the Pistons. He averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game while primarily coming off the bench.
Detroit is short on money this offseason and has just over $5 million until they hit the luxury tax. Fortunately for Detroit, the majority of the league does not have much cap space which will suppress the entire free agency market.
Ennis will turn 28 years old tomorrow. He is 6'7" and before playing for Detroit, spent time with the Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans, and Memphis Grizzlies.
