REPORT: Pistons Trade Svi Mykhailiuk and Future Pick to Thunder, Acquire Hamidou Diallo
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Pistons have moved on from Svi Mykhailiuk, their longest-tenured player on the roster.
This move allows the Pistons to take a look at Diallo, who Woj also reports is being seen by the Pistons front office as a core player moving forward.
The Pistons acquired Mykhailiuk from the Lakers in the 2019 Reggie Bullock trade. For the Pistons this season, he was averaging 6.9 points per game in 17.6 minutes.
Diallo made the third year leap in Oklahoma City this year, jumping from 6.9 points per game last season to 11.9 points per game this season. Pistons general manager Troy Weaver was a member of the OKC front office that acquired Diallo from the 2019 NBA Draft. A restricted free agent this summer, Diallo will likely play in Detroit further than this second half of the season.
