Report: Pistons to be Aggressively Going After Wayne Ellington

The Pistons are reportedly going to be aggressively pursuing wing Wayne Ellington. (Charles Trainor/Miami Herald) After not making any additional moves on the final day of the trade deadline, the Detroit Pistons figure to be more active in the buyout market in looking for additional help. And it appears Detroit will be going after a position of need: shooting. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pistons will be "one of the most aggressive teams" in vying for sharpshooter Wayne Ellington. Ellington was traded to the Suns yesterday, and subsequently waived according to John Gambodoro.

That could include the Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Houston Rockets. As of now, Matthews is reported to be on his way to Indiana. Detroit dealt Reggie Bullock to the Lakers yesterday, a puzzling move for a team that lacked competent wing-depth already. They could regain some of that with Ellington.
