Report: Pistons Sign Kennan Evans to Two-Way Contract
The Detroit Pistons have signed former Texas Tech point guard Kennan Evans to a two-way contract according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1012164027668148225 Evans, who went undrafted in last week's draft, played for seasons with the Aggies. Last season he averaged 17.6 points on 47.1 percent shooting from the field and 32 percent shooting from the 3-point line. He chipped in 3.2 assists and three rebounds per game as well.

Evans assumedly takes over the two-way contract that was owned by Kay Felder. Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press reported earlier this week that Detroit would not be renewing the deal with the former Oakland guard.
League sources tell Free Press the #Pistons will not extend qualifying offer to two-way player and ex-OU star Kay Felder. He becomes UFA on July 1.

Felder is no an unrestricted free agent. Two-way contracts were introduced last season in the NBA. Players on two-way contracts are allowed to spend 45 days with their NBA team while the rest of the team is spent with a team in the G League. Evans will play with Detroit's affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive, while he is in the G League. Featured Image: Tom Pennington/Getty Images
