The Detroit Pistons are one of three teams that are expected to target Toronto Raptors guard, Fred VanVleet in free agency, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
You can read Charania's report here.
In what is considered to be one of the weaker free agent classes of recent memory, VanVleet will be one of the more sought after names on the market. This season with the Raptors, VanVleet averaged 17.6 PPG, 6.6 APG, and 3.8 RPG while knocking down 39% of his 3-point attempts.
James Edwards of The Athletic reported back in January that Detroit was interested in VanVleet.
VanVleet is 26 years old and can play either guard spot. Detroit is expected to either draft or sign a starting level point guard this offseason. VanVleet meets that criteria.
The New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns are two other teams that are expected to be interested in VanVleet.
