Bone averaged 1.2 points in 10 appearances with the Pistons last season. He shined in the G League last season with the Grand Rapids Drive, averaging 17.5 points, 6.9 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game.
He was the 57th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. The Pistons sent a future second-round draft pick and cash to the Philadelphia 76ers last year on draft night to acquire the rights to Bone.
Bone is 23 years old and will now be an unrestricted free agent.
This is the second roster move the Pistons have made this week, with the first one being the trade that sent Bruce Brown to the Brooklyn Nets for Dzanan Musa and a 2021 second-round pick.
