REPORT: Pistons Not Expected to Pick Up Option of Glenn Robinson III
One of the Pistons more intriguing moves last offseason was the signing of Glenn Robinson III, low-risk high-reward wing who has ties to the state of Michigan. It appears now that the fun homecoming will be short-lived.
James Edwards III of The Athletic reports that the Pistons will not be picking up the option for Glenn Robinson III, making him a free agent. Robinson was due to make $4.2 million next season had his option been picked up.

The 25-year-old forward averaged 4.2 points points per game on 42% shooting from the floor, including 29% from deep. He only played 47 games last season, just a year after playing in 23. Given the injury concerns and poor shooting, Detroit made a tough but justified decision.
