After spending five years with West Virginia, Beilein took over the Michigan Wolverines and has been with them since 2007. His success is well documented with the Wolverines, most recently leading them to a national championship appearance this past season, although Michigan fell short to Villanova. The Wolverines have one other national championship appearance under Beilein, which came in 2014 against Louisville. He boasts an elite 248-143 in his eleven seasons with Michigan. Beilein instantly becomes the most interesting candidate for Detroit's job. He is a college coach, which already adds intrigue, but is also a local star for a program heading into elite territory under his guidance. Featured Image: Tom Pennington/Getty Images
