Report: Pistons Hire Malik Rose as Assistant GM
The Detroit Pistons have hired an assistant general manager, according to Marc Spears of ESPN.
Former NBA forward Malik Rose is expected to be hired as the @DetroitPistons assistant general manager tomorrow, a source told @TheUndefeated. The two-time champion has been the @ATLHawks basketball operations manager since 2015.

Rose has been working in the Atlanta Hawks front office, as president of basketball operations and general manager of the Hawks' G League affiliate, the Erie Bayhawks. Prior to his work in front offices, Rose played 13 seasons in the NBA with the Hornets, Spurs, Knicks, and Thunder. He last played in the 2008-2009 season. The man likely to be behind the hire is the senior advisor to Tom Gores, Ed Stefanski. He also worked to bring in Dwane Casey to coach the Pistons next season.
