Report: Pistons Hire Grizzlies' Executive Ed Stefanski as Senior Advisor to Team, to Target Dwane Casey

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Detroit Pistons have hired Ed Stefanski as a senior advisor to the team.

Stefanski has been with the Memphis Grizzlies since 2014, where he served as the vice president of player personnel. Prior to Memphis, Stefanski has worked with the New Jersey Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, and Toronto Raptors.

Wojnarowski also reports that Detroit will target former Toronto Raptors coach, Dwane Casey, in their head coaching search. Stefanski will be in charge of hiring a head coach as well as general manager.

This is the first move the Pistons have made to their front office since firing Stan Van Gundy two weeks ago.

Detroit has officially announced the hiring of Stefanski following the report.
