The Detroit Pistons have signed Micah Potter to an Exhibit 10 deal, according to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype.
Potter, a member of the NBA G League All-Rookie team last year, appeared in three games with the Detroit Pistons last season. He played for Detroit on a 10-day contract, in which he averaged 4.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 10.3 per game.
This gives Potter the opportunity to compete for a roster spot with Detroit in training camp. If Potter does not make the Pistons roster his G League player rights will belong to the Motor City Cruise, Detroit’s G League affiliate. The Cruise acquired the player rights to Potter in a trade with the Sioux Falls Skyforce - the Miami Heat G League affiliate. Potter averaged 17.2 points and 9.8 rebounds while shooting 44.5% from the 3-point line.
The 24-year-old big finished his collegiate career at Wisconsin, after spending his freshman and sophomore seasons at Ohio State. Potter went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft.
