REPORT: Pistons a Potential Trade Suitor for Marvin Bagley III

The big man-needy Detroit Pistons are reportedly a potential trade suitor for disgruntled Kings big man Marvin Bagley III according to independent NBA writer Marc Stein. Bagley is largely out of the rotation, only logging ten minutes so far this season and refusing to check into a game against the Spurs.
With Kelly Olynyk down and out for a few weeks with a knee injury, and a severe lack of frontcourt depth on the roster, it makes sense the Pistons are showing interest in the 22-year-old Bagley. After all, he was a very high draft pick put into a difficult situation with the Kings. He averaged at least 14 points and seven rebounds per game each of his first three seasons in the league, so there is certainly some value there.
Adding Bagley to a fairly empty frontcourt situation could allow him to re-establish his value, which as of right now is pretty low. Stein added that a potential trade seems like it would happen after December 15, when more of the players in the league are eligible to be traded. Bagley is in the final year of his rookie deal and the Kings are reportedly looking to move him sooner rather than later. It would be a good opportunity for the Pistons to take a chance on a low-risk, low-cost move to help reinforce the roster with more young talent that may just need a change of scenery.
