REPORT: Multiple Teams Interested in Markieff Morris
Trade rumors continue to swirl around the Detroit Pistons' role players as the team likely heads for rebuild mode. This time, it's veteran power forward Markieff Morris, who has had an up-and-down season with the Pistons, while also facing setbacks with injury throughout the campaign.
Both of the Los Angeles teams, the Clippers and Lakers, have interest in the stretch big, according to Heavy's Sean Deveney, who cited unnamed league sources.
It's no surprise that contending team's are interested in the 30-year-old, as he's having a career-year from three-point range on career-high volume (40.2% on 4.1 attempts per game). With teams always looking for more shooting, those numbers jump out. Making just $3.2 million this season, Morris can provide a cheap and versatile forward for contenders looking to add depth.
With players like Andre Drummond, Langston Galloway, and even Luke Kennard already being mentioned in trade rumors, it's looking like it could be an all-out fire sale in Detroit.
