The Pistons released a statement announcing Bagley suffered a bone bruise and sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee. He will miss the next three to four weeks.
The news comes following an MRI conducted on the 23-year-old following the Pistons preseason loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder last night. The injury occurred in the opening minutes of the first quarter when Baglet stepped on the foot of Thunder rookie Jalen Williams on a defensive possession.

Bagley joins a crowded injured group currently occupied by Nerlens Noel, Alec Burks, Kevin Knox, Hamidou Diallo, and most recently Isaiah Livers.
There were rumors that Bagley would open the season as a member of Detroit's starting lineup.

This is a tough blow for Detroit, who will now enter the season down one of their potential starters and questions surrounding the availability of Noel, Knox, and Burks.
The Pistons will conclude their preseason on Thursday night in Detroit when they host the Memphis Grizzlies.
