The Detroit Pistons will be holding a workout with Joe Johnson, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN. "Iso Joe" was a seven-time All-Star during his NBA tenure, most memorably spending his time with the Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks, and Brooklyn Nets.
Johnson, fresh off an MVP-season and championship with the Triplets of Ice Cube's BIG3, has peaked the interest of nearly half the league. The Pistons are just one of the franchises eager to see if Johnson is still truly an NBA-caliber player, as many other playoff-hopeful and contending teams have reached out to Johnson's camp as well. It is unknown currently if the 38-year old even desires to make a return to the NBA.
Johnson last spent time in the NBA with the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets in 2018, where he averaged 6.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest in 55 games.
