REPORT: Hawks Unwilling to Include First Round Pick in Andre Drummond Trade So Far
As Andre Drummond's future with the Detroit Pistons continues to hang in the balance, the chances of him becoming an Atlanta Hawk don't seem to be as likely as originally thought. Due to his impending free agency and uncertainty of where he'll land next, it's understandable why teams might be hesitant to give up assets for the All-Star center.
In this case, it's the Hawks who are unwilling to part with a first-round pick.

Had the team been willing to move their 2020 pick from Brooklyn - which will likely land in the teens - Atlanta may have already acquired Drummond, according to Sam Amick of the Athletic:
"While Atlanta's brutal season (8-30) has added significant pressure to bolster the roster and give young star Trae Young some help, the Hawks, per a second source, could have landed Drummond already if they were willing to include a first-round pick in the deal."
With other teams such as the Raptors, Celtics, Mavericks, Cavaliers, and Hornets showing interest in Drummond as well, it will be interesting to see if the Pistons can orchestrate a bidding war for the services of Detroit's longest-tenured player.
