Report: Detroit "Aggressive" in Early Trade Market; Pursued Evan Fournier

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Pistons have been very aggressive in the NBA trade market as the Trade Deadline approaches next month.

In a piece for ESPN where Woj previews the Trade Deadline, the Pistons come to point multiple times, with a fixation on adding to the wing.

"Detroit, New Orleans, New York and Portland are a few of the teams most interested in upgrades, but the true list is much longer."

One name that came up in the piece was Evan Fournier of the Orlando Magic, who Stan Van Gundy apparently has pursued.

Detroit pursued an Evan Fournier deal, but that would've been hard to execute without Reggie Jackson's contract included -- even if Detroit decided to include promising rookie Luke Kennard. Jackson will be sidelined for another month-plus with a severely sprained ankle.

Woj ends his Detroit news by saying Stan Van Gundy has been aggressive in the trade markets as he is adamant to win now.

Detroit has remained one of the most aggressive teams on the early market, reflective of the Stan Van Gundy regime's desire to win now.

Stan Van Gundy is no stranger to making deals at the Trade Deadline. In his tenure with Detroit, Van Gundy has made deadline deals to acquire both Reggie Jackson and Tobias Harris, two of Detroit's "Core Four."
