Report: Brandon Jennings Could be Traded to Brooklyn
According to Chris Sheridan of Sheridan Hoops, discussions between the Detroit Pistons and the Brooklyn Nets about Brandon Jennings are going on.
The deal would be centered around Detroit's Jennings, and Brooklyn Nets power forward, Thaddeus Young.
Brandon Jennings could very well end up in Brooklyn two weeks from now in a trade that would send Thaddeus Young to the Detroit Pistons, sources tell SheridanHoops.com.
There are several teams looking to acquire Jennings, who has been a starter most of his career but is currently stuck behind Reggie Jackson on Detroit’s depth chart. He will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Sheridan also talks about the Nets needing to add another player as part of the deal. He mentions point guards Shane Larkin and Jarrett Jack.
Young has had an exceptional season for the Nets, posting 15 points and 9 rebounds per game. He has been an efficient shooter, and would be an upgrade over Ersan Ilyasova at the starting power forward spot.
Jennings is a wanted player, and the Pistons will continue to hear offers on him. If Detroit plans to move him, they need to bring in the best possible haul for him.
