Report: Blake Griffin Out with Bone Bruise, to be Reevaluated in a Week
The Detroit Pistons announced this morning that the team will be without Blake Griffin for at least a week. The team announced that Griffin has suffered a bone bruise on his right ankle.
"A timetable for return to action will be provided as appropriate," the team said.
Griffin did not play in Detroit's win over the Washington Wizards yesterday, and the injury will keep him out for at least the next three games. Anthony Tolliver and Henry Ellenson handled the power forward minutes in his absence yesterday.
Griffin has averaged 19.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 6.2 assists in 25 games with Detroit. He had been playing very well prior to the injury.
