Drummond had a career year with the Pistons last season. He averaged 16.2 points and 14.8 rebounds per game. He also averaged over a steal and a block per contest.
Drummond was drafted by Detroit in the 2012 NBA Draft with the 9th overall pick. He has spent his entire career a Piston, and that will not change.
There was never any doubt that the Pistons would re-sign Drummond. The Pistons and Drummond have always been committed to each other. Detroit has assembled a threatening team around Drummond, and made it scarier earlier today when they signed point guard Ish Smith.
Andre Drummond is close to being liked up as a Detroit Piston for 5 years, plenty of time for the Pistons to make a few runs in the NBA Playoffs.
