Jackson had eight points and 13 assists last night before suffering the injury. Jackson missed time to start the 2016-2017 season, with which Detroit collapsed and missed the playoffs upon his return after missing 21 games. Amidst trade rumors for most of last season and even the offseason, Jackson returned this year to playing good basketball. In the 33 games Jackson played in so far this season, he averaged 14.6 points and 5.5 assists on 33.9 percent shooting. Jackson was having his worst month of the season in December, as the Pistons flustered to losing seven straight games at one point. With Jackson out, Ish Smith will likely man the starting point guard duties. Other point guard possibilities on the roster are Langston Galloway and two-way player with the Grand Rapids Drive, Dwight Buycks. The Pistons have an open roster spot and could look to add another point guard with Jackson out for at least 6-8 weeks. This is a crushing blow to the Pistons season, as they are currently 19-14 and in 4th place in the Eastern Conference. Featured Image: Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports
