Pistons to Sign Lorenzo Brown for Remainder of Season with Option
Shams Charnia of The Vertical is reporting that the Pistons will sign point guard Lorenzo Brown for the remainder of the 2015-2016 season with a team option for the 2016-2017 season.
Brown had previously signed two 10-day contracts with Detroit before not being extended last week. He never appeared during the two 10-day contract spans.
Brown played for the Grand Rapids Drive this season, of the NBA D-League, and also had a stint with the Phoenix Suns.
The Pistons play the Cleveland Cavaliers in their season finale tonight, and then play Cleveland in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
Brown will be the fourth point guard on the roster with Reggie Jackson, Steve Blake, and Spencer Dinwiddie.
Brown will likely see minutes tonight with both the Cavs and Pistons likely resting players.
