Pistons Hire Scout Jason Buckner to Franchise
According to the Indianapolis Star, the Detroit Pistons will be adding Jason Buckner to their scouting staff in November. Buckner will serve as Detroit's director of draft scouting.
Buckner comes to the Pistons after serving eight years as the Indiana Pacers manager of scouting. Buckner worked in a duel role the past three years, serving as the regional scout for the Pacers as well. Buckner's departure is not connected to the firing of former head coach Nate McMillen.
Before his time with the Pacers, Buckner worked as Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis' assistant men's basketball coach, before leaving to join the Pacers in 2012.
