Game Recap: Pistons Dominate in Second Half to Beat Heat
The Detroit Pistons have defeated the Miami Heat 107-98 after a poor first half start in which they were down 8 at halftime.
The Heat were without Goran Dragic, Hassan Whiteside, Josh McRoberts and Justise Winslow in tonight's game, but their bench unit showed up, shooting 69% in the first half. Stan Van Gundy's halftime speech must have gotten into the team's head, as they came out of the gate and took the lead shortly into the first quarter.
The Pistons' offense thrived against the depleted Heat defense, as five Pistons finished in double digit scoring, including three who were 20+ scorers. Drummond finished with 25 and 18 boards, KCP had 23, 6 boards and 5 assists, and Reggie Jackson had 27 as the leading scorer of the game.
Aron Baynes was hurt early in the fourth with what appeared to be an ankle injury, and did not return. The Pistons take on the Pacers next and play Charlotte later in the week.
