The Boston Celtics(27-11) host the Detroit Pistons(14-27) tonight. They'll host a Detroit team that has won just three of their last ten games, and has lost three in a row. But they'll do so without perhaps their best player.
Forward Jayson Tatum will miss tonight's game due to knee tendonitis. He had appeared in all 38 games for the Celtics prior to tonight.

He was previously listed as "probable" to play.
The Pistons will still be without Blake Griffin, Luke Kennard, Reggie Jackson, and Khyri Thomas.
In his one game versus the Pistons this season, Tatum scored 26 points on 10-17 shooting and grabbed five rebounds.
For a Detroit team still focused on trying to win as many games as possible, Tatum's absence helps open up an opportunity to steal a win.
The game begins at 7:00 at TD Garden.
