The Detroit Pistons announced this morning that guard Luke Kennard will miss the next two weeks with bilateral knee tendinitis. He will be reevaluated for a return to action on November 7th.
Kennard, 23, has averaged 15.8 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game this year while shooting 44.2% from the field and 39.9% from the 3-point line. He is averaging a career-high 32.9 minutes per game.
The third-year wing has already missed three games this season, including Detroit's previous game on Monday versus the Philadelphia 76ers.
Kennard joins Reggie Jackson and Khyri Thomas on the bench.
Kennard has been an integral part of the Pistons this season, and his offense will surely be missed for a team that already struggles on that end of the floor.
Langston Galloway and Svi Mykhailuk should see an increase in minutes during Kennard's absence.
