Game Recap: Pistons Obliterate Nets on the Road
The Detroit Pistons have defeated the Brooklyn Nets 114-80, in a game that was over before it started.
It was a big win for Detroit after losing a close contest with New Orleans on Monday. Andre Drummond finished with 22 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists in just three quarters, abusing Brooklyn's subpar big men. Tobias had a very efficient night as well, dropping 22 points on 14 shots. Dwight Buycks continues to put on a show in Reggie Jackson's absence, finishing with 17 off the bench. Everyone played well for Detroit in a contest they led by 40 at one point.
The Nets struggled mightily from the field, due to Detroit's stout defense and their own inability to hit shots. Their lone bright spot was Allen Crabbe, who finished with 20 points on only 11 shots. The Spencer Dinwiddie revenge game was avoided, as the Nets point guard struggled to only one basket, a dunk, on the night. The Nets looked to 13 different players tonight, as they used the blowout to get some of their reserves some playing time.
The Pistons have another should-win game against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, while the struggling Nets face the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
