Game Recap: Pistons Clowned by Bucks
The Detroit Pistons fell to 15-19 on the season after falling to the Milwaukee Bucks in blowout fashion 119-94. Milwaukee improves to 15-15 on the season.
The Bucks scored the first points of the game and never seemed to lose control since. It was a dominating performance for them, assisting on 36 shots, the most assists Detroit has allowed this season. They also shot an insane percentage from the field. From inside the arc, they shot 57.1% and on the outside they barely cooled off. From deep, they hit 50% of their threes. Milwaukee had eight steals and five blocks as a team.
After playing a close first quarter, Milwaukee took control in the second quarter and looked to go into the half up by ten points. Then Reggie Jackson threw down a monster slam.

Jackson finished the game with 14 points and six assists. He played well in the first half but was ineffective in the second half. he scored all 14 of his points in the first two quarters. He continues to be an inefficient shooter, as he went 6-15 from the field. His backup, Ish Smith also struggled, scoring just two points on 1-5 shooting, and also committed four turnovers.
Another Piston that continued to struggle was Marcus Morris. He finished with just 11 points on 3-10 shooting. Morris has started at small forward over Tobias Harris who recently moved to the bench to make room for Jon Leuer in the starting lineup. Harris has dominated off the bench and may have had his best game yet since the move. He finished with a double-double, scoring 23 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Milwaukee was led by their dynamic and exciting duo of Jabari Parker and Giannis Antetokoumnpo. Parker flirted with a triple-double, scoring 29 points, grabbing nine rebounds, and dishing out seven assists.

His counterpart, Antetokoumnpo finished with 23 points and eight assists. Antetokoumnpo just overwhelms the opposing team. He does not have a great jumper yet, but his skill set is so complete that when a defender gives him an open look from deep he hits it. Antetokoumnpo is clearly a jump shot away from being a top player in the league. He has my vote to start in the All-Star game, and will likely receive enough votes from around the world and the media to get him in.
Former Piston Greg Monroe had his revenge game, scoring 14 points, dishing out six dimes, and grabbing five rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench.
Detroit's struggles are very concerning. Their defense was torched once again by a team that was 22nd in three-pointers attempted per game. A lot if wrong right now but the answers are not very clear.
The Pistons play their next game on Friday in Atlanta against the Hawks.
