Game Recap: Pistons Advance to Championship After Win Versus Hornets
The Detroit Pistons took down the Charlotte Hornets today 87-82 in the Orlando Summer League. Detroit improved their record to 3-1, while Charlotte dropped to 2-2. With their win today, Detroit advanced to the Orlando Summer League Championship against the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow. Detroit lost to the Orlando Magic last year in the championship game.
Henry Ellenson continued his reign of dominance in Orlando, as he scored 29 points on 12-20 shooting. He shot 4-8 from the three-point line. He also corralled six rebounds in the win.

Luke Kennard struggled mightily in the first half, but finished the game strong, as he finished with 14 points and five rebounds. He struggled shooting the ball but heated up in the third quarter.

Pierre Jackson was steady as usual for Detroit. He came off the bench today, but still managed to score 15 points and dish out six assists. He connected with Landy Nnoko on multiple alley-oops today for two of his six dimes.

The Pistons shot 9-23 from the three-point line, 39.1 percent. Charlotte shot the ball well from deep as well, as they knocked down eight of their eighteen long-range attempts. Johnny O'Bryant scored 26 points for the Hornets.
