Game Preview: With Playoffs Still Possible, Pistons Face Knicks
The Detroit Pistons(34-39) face the New York Knicks(27-46) tonight at the Madison Square Garden. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
The Knicks have lost four straight games, and are eliminated from the playoffs. Their latest defeat comes at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs, who beat them on Saturday, 106-98. Willy Hernangomez led the Knicks with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Derrick Rose also scored 24 points. Carmelo Anthony missed Sunday's game due to injury.
The Pistons were throttled by the Orlando Magic on Friday night, 115-87. The Magic led by 33 points at one point in the game. Boban Marjanovic scored 15 points and grabbed four boards in just 12 minutes. Jon Leuer added 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Elfrid Payton finished with a triple-double for Orlando, scoring 14 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists. The Pistons have lost six of their last seven games.
