Game Preview: Skidding Pistons Host Nets
The Detroit Pistons(34-41) face the Brooklyn Nets(16-58) tonight at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
The Nets have actually played good basketball in the month of March. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games. They did, however, lose their last game to the Philadelphia 76ers, 106-101. Brook Lopez scored 26 points and nine rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie had 10 points, five assists, and four rebounds off the bench in the loss.
The Pistons lost at the buzzer to the Miami Heat in their last game. Hassan Whiteside scored the game winning basket as time expired on Tuesday night. The NBA said yesterday, however, that the Heat got away with two fouls on the last play of the game, including Whiteside committing a foul on Andre Drummond in order to gain possession of the ball.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led the Pistons with 25 points. Tobias Harris came off the bench to score 19 points and grab six rebounds. Jon Leuer replaced him in the starting lineup.
