Indiana, after starting the season slowly, is playing top level basketball as of late. In their last 16 games, the Pacers have won 12 of them. They have also won five straight games.
Indiana's last win came against the Brooklyn Nets, who they played last night. It was a close game, but Indiana was able to pull away and keep their winning streak alive, topping Brooklyn, 106-97. Paul George, who had an exceptional January, scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Jeff Teague had 24 points and seven assists. Al Jefferson added 11 points off the bench in just 15 minutes.
Detroit continues to be a streaky team. They have now won two straight, taking down the Minnesota Timberwolves last night. Marcus Morris had a career-high 36 points in the win. Andre Drummond had another double-double, finishing with 12 points and 18 rebounds. He played well down the stretch, with multiple big defensive stops in crunch time. Jon Leuer had a career-high himself, scoring 24 points. Tobias Harris added 14 points off the bench.
