Game Preview: Pistons Look to Start the New Year Right with Game Versus Heat
The Detroit Pistons(15-20) travel to Miami tonight to face the Miami Heat(10-24). The game begins at 6 PM EST.
The Heat lost in their last game to the Boston Celtics, 117-114, in a game where Isaiah Thomas dropped 52 points.
James Johnson was the leading scorer for Miami, finishing with 22 points. Young Heat guards Tyler Johnson and Josh Richardson each added 19 points in the loss. Hassan Whiteside finished with 11 points and eight rebounds.
The Heat have dropped their last four games.
Detroit is still in what seems to be a never ending funk. They played competitive against the Atlanta Hawks in their last game, but didn't have the resolve down the stretch to win the game. Jon Leuer scored 22 points and added six rebounds. Reggie Jackson had an encouraging second half, finishing with 20 points and eight assists. Andre Drummond added 15 points and 15 boards.
Injuries
Marcus Morris will play tonight for the Pistons. Detroit will still be without Reggie Bullock, although he is only a few weeks away from return now.
Goran Dragic(back) and Hassan Whiteside(eye) are questionable to play.
