Game Preview: Pistons Look to Avoid Hornets Sting
The Detroit Pistons(16-21) host the Charlotte Hornets(20-16) tonight at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The game begins at 7:30 PM EST.
The Hornets played last night, meaning this game will be on the back end of a back-to-back. They took down the Oklahoma City Thunder 123-112, winning the fourth quarter 36-24. Nick Batum scored 28 points and added four assists. Kenna Walker finished with 20 points and nine assists in the win. Walker has had an impressive season, averaging 22.9 points and 5.5 assists per game this season.
Hornets' center Cody Zeller missed the game and it is unknown if we will be available tonight versus Detroit.
The Pistons fell in their last game to the Indiana Pacers 121-116. Reggie Jackson has put together two solid outings in his last two games. He scored 27 points on Sunday versus the Miami Heat, and on Tuesday he scored 20 points and added 12 assists. Andre Drummond finished with 20 points and 14 boards, while Tobias Harris added 22 points off the bench.
Aron Baynes did not play for the Pistons. He has a sprained ankle, but he could play tonight. He was a game-time decision last game, and knowing Baynes he'll be ready to get back on the court. Reggie Bullock practiced yesterday, but will not play.
