Game Preview: Pistons Host Youthful Suns
The Detroit Pistons(33-36) host the Phoenix Suns(22-47) today at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The game has an early tip-off time of 4:30p.m. est.
The Suns have shut down a majority of their veterans for the rest of the season. Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight, and Tyson Chandler all will not play for the rest of the year.
The Suns have replaced the trio with the likes of rookies Tyler Ulis, Derrick Jones Jr. Alan Williams, who played sparingly for the Suns last season, is now receiving heavy minutes, and doing a good job in them.
Phoenix dropped their last game to the Orlando Magic, 109-103. TJ Warren scored 26 points and scraped for five rebounds. Ulis added 19 points and eight assists. The Suns have lost three straight games and are 9-24 on the road this season.
The Pistons also lost their last game. In an eye burning loss to the Toronto Raptors, Detroit scored just 75 points. Reggie Jackson had 20 points and six assists. Tobias Harris and Jon Leuer scored 14 and 12 points, respectively. Detroit shot 34.9 percent from the field, 66.7 percent from the line, and just 15 percent from the three-point line.
Yeah, not good.
