Game Preview: Pistons Host Tanking Mavericks

The Detroit Pistons(26-30) face the Dallas Mavericks(22-33) tonight at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The game begins at 7:30 PM EST.

The Mavericks dropped their last game to the Boston Celtics 111-98. Yogi Ferrell, who spoke to PalaceOfPistons in the offseason, led the way for Dallas with 20 points and five assists. Harrison Barnes added 19 points, while Wesley Matthews and Dirk Nowitzki scored 18 points apiece. Mark Cuban, the owner of the Mavs, recently admitted that the Mavericks are tanking. Hey, maybe the Pistons will win a game(probably not).

Detroit has now dropped two straight games, falling to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, 102-98. Detroit had no answer for the combination you would expect, Greg Monroe and Michale Beasley. The duo combined for 48 points on 22-28 shooting. Marcus Morris scored 26 points, leading the way for Detroit. Andre Drummond notched another double-double, scoring 21 points and garbbing 12 rebounds.
