Game Preview: It's Warrior Day
The Detroit Pistons(14-17) look to do the impossible tonight as they face the Golden State Warriors(26-4) at 7:30PM EST. This is their one and only meeting at The Palace of Auburn Hills this season.
Golden State played last night in a scare against the Brooklyn Nets. They were trailing in the first half but quickly turned on the jets in the second half and ended up winning by 16 points, 117-101. Kevin Durant(yes he is on the Warriors) flirted with a triple double, scoring 26 point, garbbing nine boards, and dishing out seven assists. Zaza Pauchila finished with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Klay Thompson added 23 points in the win. The Warriors have won six straight and are 9-1 in their last ten games.
So, the Pistons are still struggling. They have now lost four in a row and are 3-7 in their last ten games. Their last defeat came at the hands of the Memphis Grizzles. Marc Gasol scored 38 points for Memphis in the win. Andre Sdummond had 13 points and 19 boards. Reggie Jackson and Jon Leuer scored 18 points each.
Jon Leuer is expected to join the Pistons starting lineup tonight, but who he replaces is unknown.
Warriors' forward Draymond Green who was away from the team yesterday due to the birth of his child, is expected to play tonight.
