Game Preview: Chandler Parson Returns for Memphis as Pistons Open Homestand
The Detroit Pistons(14-16) begin a four-game homestand tonight, as they face the Memphis Grizzlies(18-12) tonight at 7:30 PM EST.
While the Pistons are struggling, so is Memphis. The Grizzlies have lost three straight. Their latest defeat came last night at the hands of Isaiah Thomas and Boston Celtics. Thomas dropped an insane 44 points in the game. Memphis had solid contributions from guard Tony Daniels and center Marc Gasol. Each scored 24 points in the game, while Mike Conley added 19 points and eight assists.
The good news for Memphis is that their big offseason acquisition, Chandler Parsons, who has missed their last 18 games. He is averaging 7.7 points and three rebounds in 21 minutes per game this season.
Detroit's struggles continue. They were flat-out embarrassed by the Chicago Bulls 113-82. Detroit fell to 3-6 since Reggie Jackson returned from his knee injury.
Stan Van Gundy confirmed to the media following the game that he would change their starting lineup up before tonight's game. He did not say who would be joining the starting lineup or who would be leaving it.
Yesterday, I wrote about Stanley Johnson, who I believe should be placed into the starting lineup.
Probable Starting Lineups:
Detroit Pistons
PG: Reggie Jackson
SG: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
SF: Stanley Johnson
PF: Tobias Harris
C: Andre Drummond
Memphis Grizzlies

Detroit needs to figure things out soon, or changes could be coming for the Pistons.
