Game Preview: As Schedule Lightens, Pistons Face Banged Up Nuggets
The Detroit Pistons(14-12) face the Denver Nuggets(14-12) tonight at Little Ceasers Arena. The game tips off at 7:00p.m. Detroit has dropped eight straight games.
The Pistons last played on Sunday when their offense was able to manufacture just 81 points in a loss to the Boston Celtics. Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond, who have both had successful seasons so far, combined for just eight points on 1-9 shooting from the field. Tobias Harris was the leading scorer for Detroit as he scored 19 points and added eight rebounds. Anthony Tolliver scored 15 points off the bench. The Pistons shot 33.3 percent from the field and 30.3 percent from the 3-point line.
The Nuggets fell at the hands of Victor Oladipo and the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, 126-116. Oladipo dropped a career-high 47 points in the win over Denver. Trey Lyles, who the Nuggets acquired from the Utah Jazz on the night of the 2017 NBA Draft for Donovan Mitchell, scored 25 points and corralled five rebounds in the loss. Gary Harris and Will Barton each added 21 points.
Injuries
The Detroit Pistons will still be without Jon Leuer(ankle) while both Avery Bradley and Eric Moreland are feeling under the weather according to Stan Van Gundy. Both Bradley and Moreland are expected to play.
Paul Millsap(wrist) and Nikola Jokic(ankle) will both miss tonight's game for the Nuggets.
