Game Preview: As Detroit Crumbles, Raptors Host Pistons
The Detroit Pistons(28-31) head to Toronto tonight, to face off against the first place team in the Eastern Conference, the Toronto Raptors(41-17).
Detroit played yesterday against the Charlotte Hornets and got stomped on, 114-98. Blake Griffin had one of his best games as of late for the Pistons, scoring 20 points on 10-18 shooting. Andre Drummond continued to be his solid self, adding 14 points and 14 rebounds. Dwight Buycks scored 12 points off the bench in 13 minutes. Seven players scored in double figures for Charlotte. Detroit was outscored 70-46 in the first half.
The Raptors are well rested, as they have not played since Friday when they lost in overtime to the Milwaukee Bucks 122-119. DeMar DeRozan continued his dominant season on Friday, as he scored 33 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out four assists. Kyle Lowry added 17 points and seven assists.
Toronto will be tough to beat tonight for Detroit. They are 24-5 on the season at the Air Canada Centre and 8-2 in their last 10 games dating back to before the All-Star Break.
Injuries
Reggie Jackson(ankle) and Jon Leuer(ankle) are both out for Detroit.
There are no injuries to report for Toronto.
