Game Preview: After Big Win Over Cavs, Pistons Face Knicks
The Detroit Pistons(32-33) face the New York Knicks(26-39) tonight at 5:00 p.m. The game takes place at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The Pistons are 7th in the Eastern Conference, while the Knicks hold the 12th seed.
New York was handed their 39th loss of the season on Wednesday by the Milwaukee Bucks. The Knicks were led by Derrick Rose. Rose scored 26 points on 13-16 shooting from the field. Carmelo Anthony added 16 points. Milwaukee limited the Knicks bench to just 13 points. New York turned the ball over 15 times in the game.
Anthony, who missed New York's game on Monday returned versus Milwaukee. Willy Hernangomez was moved into the starting lineup by Jeff Hornaceck on Wednesday. He scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
The Knicks are 4-6 in their last ten games.
The Pistons come into tonight's game after picking up a huge win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night, 106-101. Detroit was led by their point guard/center duo of Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond. Jackson scored 21 points, 12 of which came in the fourth quarter. He also had five assists. Andre Drummond had an all-around fantastic game. He scored 20 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, and dished out four assists. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Tobias Harris added 15 points apiece.
