The Pistons have recently gone on a rampant search to replace former head coach Stan Van Gundy, who was fired nearly a month ago, as the franchise reportedly has interviews set with Miami Heat assistant Juwan Howard, Spurs assistant Ime Udoka, and analyst Kenny Smith over the next few days. However, Casey is easily the most decorated candidate that the Pistons plan to interview, as he spent time as the head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves and recently ended his seven-year stint with Toronto, as he was fired after his team was swept in the second round of the playoffs by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Casey led the Raptors to a franchise record 59 wins this past season, solidifying himself as a premier coach in the NBA. With just Detroit and Toronto having open head coaching vacancies, Casey will likely be a top candidate for the playoff-hopeful Pistons. Featured Image - (NBAE/Getty)
