Drive Head Coach, Rob Werdann, Switches Roles for "Family Reasons"
The Grand Rapids Drive announced a change at the helm of their team today as Assistant Coach Ryan Krueger was promoted to Head Coach in place of Rod Werdann. This was Werdann's first season as the Head Coach of the Drive.
Krueger has been an assistant with the Drive for the past three seasons.
Rob Werdann is not fully leaving the Pistons franchise as he will revert back to his former role as a Pro Scout for the team.
Werdann has been away from the team since November 30th, in which Krueger handled the head coaching responsibilities.
I am told the switch for Werdann is for "family reasons" and "nothing beyond that."
