Darrun Hilliard Suffers Injury, Will Miss Summer League
After reportedly having a strong start to the summer, Darrun Hilliard will miss the 2016 NBA Summer League season.
The Pistons announced that Hilliard suffered a stress fracture in his back, which will hold him out of Summer League.
This is a pivotal offseason for Hilliard, as he is among the three players battling for the backup shooting guard position. Along with Hilliard, Reggie Bullock and Michael Gbinije will compete for the backup spot.
Hilliard's timetable to return should be around the start of NBA training camp.
This is a tough blow for the Pistons Summer League team, as Hilliard was going to be a major part of the team.
